4.04 Review - Metamorphosis
Oct. 9th, 2008 09:59 pm- God, new!Ruby can go DIAF. She sucks so hard. I hate that I miss Katie, but I do. :p
- Its all over Dean's face. He's in pain because Sam's been lying to him, lied to him fucking hours after he crawled out of his own grave. You don't need me. Its rough shit. =\
- Fuck, Sam is hot when Dean's beating the shit out of him. There's blood on his lips. NOM.
- Slippery slope, brother. OMG.
-FALDJFALKDJFerjkl@!! Dean trashing the motel room. KILL THE LAMP! Dear sweet chocolate christ, that's hot.
- Why the FUCK did Dean call Castiel "Cas?" Seriously, a spoon. Gag me with it. =\ What are they, buddies now?
- I don't like Dean saying, "If I didn't know you, I'd hunt you." because you know, he never said that or acted that way at all in season two. Maybe now its because Sam is choosing to use it. I don't know, it just felt off to me, BUT Dean is probably still just reeling about all the lies and angry, so I get it.
Then there's this:
OUCH, MY HEART AND SOUL. OUUUUUCH.
- Word of the Day! The look on Dean's face when he finally gets to use it. :D Gosh, I love Jensen.
- Most of this storyline seems recycled from Heart. The deleted scene being Sam/Dean scratching/biting sex0rs, amirite?
- ROFL DORKS. Busting in the house with their flame throwers. Just. The looks on their faces. I want to shrink them and keep them with me all day! Shrinkydink!Winchesters omg lolz.
- Moral of the Story: Hunters don't play well with other hunters. Live it, learn it.
- She's pregnant. D:
- OH GOD I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO EAT MAH DEAN. I was prepared for more Sammy mindbling, but it didn't come. Sammy torching the dude out of nowhere, though!
- I didn't expect Sam to say he was done using his powers, either. I believe him, too. I believe he wants to stop, anyway. You know what would be awesome? Sam going through like, demonic powers detox and sweating and shaking and Dean having to help him through it and...nrughgh must write that. \o/
- I think...this episode could have been ten times better if Sera had written it.
- Now, my Deanish thoughts. Dean is scared of what Sam's doing behind his back because he just got fucking threatened by a genuine warrior of the Lord, he threatened Sam, which you just don't do. So he's scared and he's angry, angry that Sam lied to him, angry that he went against what Dean asked him not to do, angry that he was in hell all those months and Sam had to deal with life without him. He's scared and he's angry and he's hurt and Dean just doesn't know how to deal with all those crazy emotions. So he swings. I think he wants Sam to punch him back, I think he needs him to. But Sam never does, which I think, just screws things even more. I'm waiting for the episode where they really have it out. It's going to be like this huge exhale you didn't know you've been holding until you let it out then OMG feel so much better.
Next week is going to Rock the Shiz. :DDD Icons like a motherfucker, yo!

"Whatever."

Date: 2008-10-10 03:19 am (UTC)GOSH JENSEN IS SO GREAT. Dean's manpain hurts me! He is just so hurt that Sam lied to him, that's what it really feels like to me anyway. Dean wouldn't really say those things if he wasn't hurting like a motherfucker, you know?

BOYS BREAK MY HEART.
WOW. I really agree on your little Deanish META there \O/ I'm waiting for the big exhale, i just want Sam to punch Dean back *coughs* he never does it and Dean doesn't know how to deal with these emotional so he swings, just like he did when Sam told him about Gordon being a replacement for Dad [or something in those lines anyway]

Date: 2008-10-11 01:50 pm (UTC)Yes, the episode seemed all kind sof recycled. Especially when I browsed the lore for that rugaru-thingie and it's more like a werewolve than a man-eater as they protrayed it in this season. The whole thing was a bit too in the face for me, anyway, but oh well.
I don't like Dean saying, "If I didn't know you, I'd hunt you." because you know, he never said that or acted that way at all in season two.
I thought that was spot on. I mean, it was still clear that he never would because he does know him and love him. Same as in season two, only he never really said it but it felt like that to me.

Date: 2008-10-11 07:49 pm (UTC)Yup. And I sure as hell sat there, too, with my mouth gaping open because that? Is Dean pulling out the big guns in pure desperation. As you said, with Castiel in mind and probably remembering the last time their fellow hunters suddenly saw Sammy as prey. Not fun.

Date: 2008-10-11 06:10 pm (UTC)Amen. It was good and there was plenty of material to squee over, but if The Sera had written it? Holy hell!
However, I cannot wait for next week with its classic monsters and b&wness!
Also, remember that lj layoutI requested, like, a year ago? In case you're still working on it, scratch the half of it that's Nathan/Peter. Just make it Dean/Sam with the Brick quote theme, because I just don't love Heroes the way I used to anymore. Damnit, Kring. However, the silver lining is that Heroes continues to show me just how right I was to stick with Supernatural (and pitch it to everyone I know) all this time, because it continues to become more awesome with age. If the fifth season somehow manages to be even better than this season, I'll probably flatline out of joy or something.
