My favorite part, and I literally am being struck dead by lightning as I say this, was the Paris Hilton monologue. "You people used to worship Gods, and now you worship this?" It was all very American Gods and made me want to read that book again so bad. I approve, Mr. Kripke. :D

I thought the episode was generally pretty meh and I started getting worried about the boys, especially that look in Sam's eye and when he told Dean this wasn't going to work - which by the way SOUND MORE LIKE A MARRIED COUPLE IN NEED OF COUPLES COUNSELING, BOYS. But the last five minutes totally made up for all of it. Dean apologized for being pompous, and I knew he would. I loved when he said "who knew killing Lilith would actually be a bad thing," or whatever. I actually breathed this huge sigh of relief when he said that. Oh and also, HE WAS WEARING THE LEATHER JACKET YOU GUYS. I haven't seen Jensen in that jacket in AGES and he was wearing the JACKET and there was the part where Sammy was getting choked and Dean had to save him and Sammy doing research and end with awesome music and a shot of the impala - IT WAS ALMOST JUST LIKE OLD TIMES. N'AWWWWWW. I LOVE YOU, BOYS!

Ps the "SOON" was fucking awesome. I cannot WAIT till that tv show episode. Horatio!Jared just fucking killed me lolol.

As an episode, not so hot - kinda choppy - but as a Sam/Dean development, pretty good, I thought. Yeah, there was worry to be had, when they were butting heads, but I was hoping that this was good, getting it out in the open, and so it was, cuz the boys actually DEALT with their shit and talked about it and are making compromises...like a married couple ;)

I dug the idol monologue too - and I loved that Dean nodded, like he agreed. I haven't read American Gods in forever either; I love that book! I have Anansi Boys too but never got around to it...

The "Soon" clips look awesome! Old!Dean?! You know I'm going to write that sex ;) Sam getting slapped by an old flame for once? Badass!Cas? So much to look forward to...
