“I hate oranges.” He says, grabbing AJ’s jacket off the back of the couch. The inside is fleecey, soft, and warm. He sniffs it and it smells like AJ’s cologne, and cigarette smoke, and not at all like oranges, which is so awesome he curls up on the couch and lays his head in AJ’s lap, using his jacket as a pillow.
“Dude, you got a big head.” AJ says, carding his fingers through Travis’ hair. His voice is rough and scratchy, like his face; Travis wants to touch it. “Today was fucking sweet, right?"
That's totally Travis. He's so delightfully random and childlike, and the casual affection here between the two of them is just perfect. I can hear AJ's scratchy voice (love that comparison), and I'm melting...
Travis has a daughter (but is SINGLE!) and I bet AJ would be way cute with her ;) I'd write that if it didn't make me vaguely uncomfy now that I've met them...but you feel free to keep feeding me this yummyness <3
Don't feel dirty! They're totally slashy. But I definitely can only think of it in a cute way, not in an explicit way. Unless I replace AJ with me. Actually, I can't even do that. Travis is made of, like, sugar and sunbeams.
It's just weird to think about writing about someone after meeting them...It might've been the same way with Jared if I'd actually got to hang out with him. RPS is a tricky beast. But in the end, the epic ghey love is too tempting, and must be written...
And there was plenty of J2 fodder to be had, even without Jensen there ;)
