I knew him

There's something about Peter calling Nathan "Nate" that doesn't work. I use it sometimes, but only after Nathan's called him "Pete". It's sort of a snarky thing, like Peter's rebelling against the Pete the way Sam hates the Sammy. Otherwise, I'm like, "Nathan. Nathan." 'Cause I don't usually grin and nod when someone other than family/close friends shortens my name. Well, I do, but I look like I'm going to sink my teeth into that person's neck. Ask, people. And if I say no, then don't go ahead and do it anyway.
