Of course, you already know my thoughts on "Heart," as I have been squeeing over that episode ever since you told me you got season two.
But seriously, weeping Sam and failing-to-be-entirely-stoic Dean are made of love! And all with "Silent Lucidity" playing in the background! Holy frack, Mcgee!
I believe I owe you a Wincest drabble. (I'm currently writing some NC-17 Petrellicest, as it is part of my Moving series, so yay! 'Cest!) I figure that, after you watch all of season two (and get caught up on season three), you can pick one episode from each season for me to write a 'cesty drabble about. Sound fair?
And Heart? Damn, I remember when that was first on, I drove my roommates crazy after, running around screaming and freaking out at the emotional trip! Oh, Dean's walls crumbling down, the tears! The symbolism of it all that's so obviously tearing Dean apart - if Sammy kills Madison, in Sam's mind, Dean has to kill Sam. There's a lot of great fic out there about that ep and how ridiculous, in a way, it is for Sam to feel that way: big difference between Sam asking his brother to kill him and a girl Sam just met and screwed, however much of a connection they had, asking him to do it. I'll have to find some o' the fics for you...
*shuffles feet* I have one, not quite like that. This Heart Will Swallow Us (http://roseganymede.livejournal.com/8929.html).
How amazing were those last two episodes? Sam dying in Dean's arms - I'll never be able to get that image out of mind, and gah, the way Dean just completely breaks. Dean talking to Sam's body, breaking even more, our poor, poor Dean, and the rush when he realizes what he can do. Breaks my heart :(
All the angsty things the demon has to say, baiting Dean - fuel to my theory that Dean loves Sam more than Sam loves him, in a way :( Completely dependent on him, lost without him... But now it's Sammy's turn to save Dean...
There were some funny parts in AHBL1 though. Extra onions, "I love me some pie." Gay porn, 24/7? *sigh* Now you can watch season 3 and catch up and there's 2 more new ones left!!
*hugs you, because I know you totally need it after those eps!*
I love this show SO HARD, Rose. GUH. The very end, Dean screaming "Sam!" then CUT. Gah. And then, Dean refusing to lay him to rest. *wibble* It was kinda creepy, him just staring at dead!Sam all day long, but then I realized Dean knew exactly what he had to do from the second Sam died, he was just getting things in order. And now it's Sammy's turn to save Dean, which is AWESOME and is going to PWN ME.
There were, as always, teh funny parts that I love. "Bring me some pie!" And poor, stoned!Andy. :( AND ASH. D: Woe! And the damn YED - he's one of those villains you hate to love, but you do anyway because he's so funny and snarky lol.
But how 'bout the episode before that? OMG MINDFUCKERY. MY POOR DEAN BABY.
Dean: Mom never died, we never went hunting and you and me just never...you know. Sam: Well I'm glad we do. VKJGFYIFJJLJ!!11
