100_ghosts
It gets under John's skin, how Sam thinks he’s better than this, maybe even better than him. This time he‘d almost slipped, almost said to Sam, this is all your goddamn fault, before Dean yanks the bottle out of his hand and sends Sam to his room.
That night John pours every last drop down the bathroom sink, each sharp clink of glass as he places the bottles in the trash echoing inside his head. He’s said it before, that he’s done, that he’s not going to touch the stuff ever again. This time he really thinks he means it.
