It’s not like he did this all the time. Only when he was traveling, far enough away from home so that no one would find out, usually gorgeous women just like this, hired to provide him company for the night. Escorts were what the rich called them. Nathan knew what they were anyway.

This one was different though. She had a life, a son, and dreams he could see somewhere behind those glassy blue eyes. When she crumbled in his arms and pulled away, Nathan almost felt relieved.

A gorgeous blonde with those same eyes and that same mouth came back to him hours later. Nathan took comfort in the fact that it wasn’t the same girl.
