I love it whenever DMB plays Watchtower! It's always a crowd pleaser.

That performance is just WOW. I used to be very into DMB, but not for a few years now, so I had no idea they even covered this. Needless to say, I went straight to Itunes and downloaded it. :D

I think they've been covering it since the beginning, but it's only shown up in concerts and on live albums, never studio albums. But it would probably lose some of the intensity if they tried to record a studio version, so I'm glad they haven't.

I drifted away from DMB, too, after Busted Stuff was released (didn't care for the direction they were going), but I drifted back for GrooGrux!

My favorite is "no reason to get excited" DUN! :D It would definitely not be as special as a studio version, definitely not. Epic live version is EPIC.
