 Quick little post:

via [livejournal.com profile] shadowhuntress - Splice review. Yes, its spoilery. YES, its triggery. As a motherfucker. So in case you were thinking of watching it, and if that's something that might bother you in a movie, you might want to read that first. O_O

ETA: spoilers in the comments for Splice.

In other news, I've been trying to consume mass quantities of Jacob Pitts. I've watched both Crossroads and 21 in the last 24 hours. A Seperate Peace is in my Netflix queue. I've watched that scene in The Pacific where he tells Leckie to shut the fuck up about eighty-six hundred times.

I've started both a high school AU!Hoosier/Leckie fic and Ben/Fisher fic.

Can someone tell me what my life is? CUZ I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE. Jacob Pitts, what have you done with my life you sassy whore.

Christ.

WHOA SON.

THIS. lolol.

I'm visually triggered, mostly. I can read about damn near anything and not be too bothered by much of anything really. But seeing something, visually on a huge movie screen or even my television, shit no. The car crash in Disturbia, for instance. I had to leave the room and compose myself. I don't think I've ever seen a full on rape scene, but that may be because I always leave the room or close my eyes.

I had a weird respect for the film up until the mom-raping-mutant-pregnancy part. Then I just think they went TOO FAR.

Same, I think that last part was just desperate.

And aww... I didn't know that. I think that's sweet? Wrong word. I'm more affected but what I read, honestly. Usually anyway.
