Jesus H. Christ I think I just witnessed the most bizarre, absolutely horrifying thing I have ever seen on a highway.
I was driving back from picking my kids up from school when this tiny convertible Celica pulled out in front of us. Teenagers, we figured. They just whipped it from the turning lane into our lane, but then they kept jerking the wheel back and forth, back and forth in the lane. Then the driver whipped it into the far right lane and kept doing the same thing, then jerked it BACK into the left lane. The whole time we could see the top of a girls head in the back, just the very top of her black hair like she was slinked down in the backseat or something. I was getting fucking annoying, so I laid on my horn a little bit to say "Hey, doucheweasel. You're being stupid." Then I pulled into the right lane to try and go around him. Well, when we got up next to him it was a grown ass man with a six to seven year old child in the backseat, flailing back and forth, obviously not belted in. She probably should have been in a booster seat still. The absolute worst part? The child was not laughing or giggling. The man was not laughing or smiling whatsoever. It was SO. FUCKING. BIZARRE. I had no idea what to do. I felt fucking helpless. I sent his tag number to my sister so I'd have a record of it. My sister works for DCF and one of her co-worker's husband is a cop in the city, so I'm talking with them now and I'm trying to report it to...whoever I'm supposed to report it to. I haven't figured that out yet, but I'm pretty sure they can't do anything unless they see them driving recklessly. That's what our cop friend told us anyway.
