I need to come clean. Because I'm certain to be spewing forth my nauseating ramblings here and I just thought you all should know.
Vampire Diaries has reduced me to one of those Team Edward! Team Jacob! girls. I am too old for this shit. Also, I don't remember the last time I actually shipped a boy and a GIRL together. This feeling is foreign to me. Ian Somerhalder is an alien and has super powers. That's the theory I'm going with.
Also, TVD was out before Twilight, so that kinda makes Twilight a rip off, right? Also again, the girls on this show kick ASS. Usually Damon's. Bella Swan, wut.
And my husband keeps walking around the house singing "IDON'TWANNAWAAAAAIT" because he calls TVD "that Vampire Dawson's Creek show." I hate everything he chooses to be. Actually, I hate myself. WTF SELF. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES? SERIOUSLY? WTAF.
They played Vampire Weekend at the beginning of the episode though. That made me happy inside.

Ugh. I'm so doomed.
I've been waiting for this. I really enjoy the fast pace of this show. They don't draaaag things out like usual. I like it! But yeah, its not like we didn't know Damon had a thing for Elena. The only questionable part was, is he only in it to drive Stefan crazy, or because she looks like Catherine, which we know has to fuck with his head a LOT. But then Isobel goes and uses the "L" word (did u see what I did thar) and THE LOOK ON DAMON'S FACE LOL. He kinda looooks over at Stefan to see what his reaction his, also he looks a little...surprised, or taken off guard, the way he does when anyone tries to point out his humanity. Like it almost surprises him that its there, and Isobel saying he feels that strongly for Elena, it surprises him too because he probably hasn't thought about it consciously beyond a.) annoy the SHIT out of baby bro and b.) fuck she looks exactly like my ex-psycho-gf.
Loved him owning Isobel and what he said about coming into his town and threatening the people he CARES about. Cares. That's very, you know, CARING of you, Damon. ;) This is the first episode I've seen where he is so unhindered with his feelings. In the ep where the Tomb Vamps kidnap Stefan, you can almost see it, but I think he probably worries about Elena and Jeremy more so, because they're obviously more fragile and stuff.
I loved Stefan at the end, trying so hard not to come off as the jealous boyfriend. He didn't really, he just came off as the dude that's been there and done that. And man, was it messed up. I don't get Catherine, maybe someone can explain her to me? She loved her toys, the Salvatore boys. She wanted to keep both of them, but then when she got captured and they both died, she escaped from the tomb and just fucking left them there to fend for themselves, roamed the world and never gave them a second thought. And now Isobel is saying that THEY'RE the problem? What the hell, man.
I'm so conflicted on the Team Stefan/Team Damon thing though, really. I ship Damon/Elena, but I ship Damo/Stefan above all. And Stefan was very SRS BZNS at the end of the ep and I just, I want them to be brothers again. I don't want this to fuck with them even more. I WANT THEM TO BE ONE BIG HAPPY MENAGE-THREESOME, OKAY? C'MON CW, YOU CAN DO IT. I BELIEEEEEEEEVE.
Oh yeah, I thought Mia Kirschner was pretty blah when she was trying to play the remorseless, evil vamp. Near the end, when she actually started showing that she did indeed give a shit, I started liking her more. And I hope John Fucking Gilbert doesn't break up Jeremy and Anna. GOD I hate him. NEEDS MOAR ANNA. I LOVE ANNA. And Jeremy. Boy needs some happiness in his life, damn.
Alaric - I LOVE YOU. I love each and every single word you and Damon trade, all snarky and sexy and flirty.. I SHIP IT. Damon, why such a whore, bb?
