Um, I agree with everything, but I also don't. Of course, I didn't start re-watching SPN until right before Sam killed Lillith so I don't know shit compared to you. But I kind of - I'm glad they gave Dean this other element. But you're totally right that 'the deadbeat dad line is getting a little over-used'. I mean really.
I love Sam so much though, and yes. Thank god not every fucking thing is his fault. Dean's the one who's having issues.
I have no idea who Lisa is, and um, the thought of Dean having a kid with her makes me a little sick to my stomach, that being the case. I mean, I know that Dean likes and sleeps with girls, but I'm one of those people. Who can't take too much - I don't want him to have a kid with someone else. I just want him to adopt with Sam? Yeah... Sure.
I never thought to look at Cas like Sam's replacement, but I guess that's kind of true. Yet, I don't think it worked. Because the thing is, when I came back to SPN, I shipped Cas/Dean for a good two-four shows before I sat myself down and said, 'Look, you're just in denial. Dean/Sam is what's real, and yeah Cas/Dean is kind of wonderful, but it doesn't match up.'
