Peter is the last person he expects to see when he opens the door.

“What are you doing here, Pete?”

“It’s Thanksgiving, Nathan,” Peter gives him that quirk of his lips, patting him on the shoulder as he walks through the door, and Nathan almost forgets.  Where he’s been.  What he’s become.  

Nathan eyes Peter warily as he takes a seat next to Monty and begins scooping mashed potatoes and gravy onto his plate.  He smiles at Nathan and reaches across the table, covering Nathan’s hand with his, and Nathan knows without looking that they are still covered in blood.
