Elle didn't go to school. School was for little girls with mary janes and pink bows, not for weirdos who could make lightning in their hands and blow all the light bulbs in the house when they screamed.

When she got to go out, Elle stared out the dark tinted windows at the children on the playground longingly. She got her lessons from tutors. She learned Math and English, and how to breathe when she got angry so that she didn't kill anybody. Daddy said she was special, but Elle just wanted to go to school like a real girl.
