Title: Fork in the Road

“Honey,” Missouri says, sad smile on her face with Sam’s palm laying in her own. “Just where do you think you’re going?”

Sam mouth curves slightly, curtain of bangs falling in front of his eyes when he ducks his head and stuffs both hands in his sweatshirt pockets.  “We’re always goin’, Miss Missouri.” And she can’t argue, ‘cause damn if that ain’t true.

Dean’s fingers lace between Sam’s, curling around rough, scraped knuckles as he leans down, throws one of Sam’s legs over his shoulder and pushes inside.  His thumb slips, feels that same, forked indention that Missouri felt. 

He pushes harder.


+ If the line forks to the Mount of Moon, travel to distant places is indicated.
