Title: Just Like Riding a Bike
Pairing: none; Sam
Rating: PG
Words: 100
Prompt: Bugs Coda

Its scary, how easily he reverts back to this life.  One day he’s at Stanford, being regular Joe Schmoe, following all the rules.  Then he’s here, digging up bones and performing exorcisms, driving cross-country with his brother in a car that has more balls than he does, singing along to the soundtrack of his childhood. And now this.

Now he’s parking the car in an empty garage and sleeping in a king sized bed with a pillow top mattress in a house that doesn‘t belong to them, and its scary, just how easy it is to go back to this.

Nice look at Sam falling into familiar, not entirely wanted habits. I especially like this line:

driving cross-country with his brother in a car that has more balls than he does

*g* (But Sam, methinks you sell yourself short here. You're plenty gutsy.)

I've been rewatching season one, and this is so true. It is a bit scary how quickly Sam falls back into the life. Especially the lying to strangers off the top of his head. He's freaky good at that.

Lovely drabble, hon. :)

By the way, this has nothing to do with anything, but have you seen this? It's an interview Shia gave back during his Even Stevens days. It's freaking HILARIOUS. Anyway, as a fellow Shia-lover, I figured you'd appreciate it.
