I am an old skool David Simon girl. I grew up watching Homicide (based on the book he wrote). So when The Wire came out I was all "YAYE!" And then it was like "WHOA." That's why I tagged GK when it was still in development, because of the magic name. Same with Treme. Which is AWESOME.
