I saw Star Trek Saturday and haven't posted my thoughts/review of it because IDEK where to start. Are bullets good with you? Bullets it is.
- I was actually crying in a goddamn movie theater just after the first ten minutes. Yeah, I'm a mommy and shit like that gets to me, but I was actually glad for the loudness due to the other shit going on in the movie (things blowing up, etc) because I was SOBBING LIKE A WOMAN. Oh my god, I could not believe I actually cried like that, in a theater, watching STAR TREK. And? I watched it again today with my brother at home...yeah - anyway lol...AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I was like, wtf I've seen this already, but that scene is just, idk, really good and intense and emotional and I was going, "JUST STOP TALKING. IT'LL BE EASIER FOR ME, OKAY?" But they wouldn't listen. =\
- Nearly came in my pants when Quinto delivered the "Live Long and Prosper" aka GDIAF line. NGL.
- I love, love, love me some smug, cocky ass motherfuckers that sort of act like d-bags, but you can't just tell they're not actually d-bags - that's Kirk. Dude, Kirk is so full of awesome that I think my "eww boys" husband has a man crush on him. When Chris Pine did the whole, "Well, go get a couple of more guys then it'll be fair," thing, he about died from the awesome. WE ALL DID, HIS AWESOMENESS IS NOT FAIR.
- Beating Spock's test.
Eating his fucking apple.
Making little gun gestures with his fingers. WHY WON'T YOU GET IN ME CHRISTOPHER PINE??? I WANT CHOO.
- BOOOOOONES. I DIDN'T THINK I'D LOVE HIM SO MUCH BUT I DOOOOOO. I was laughing so hard during the whole 'four-million-shots-in-the-neck' scene that I was crying yet again. Fail. Also; Don't be such an infant. Damn it, man! Are you out of your vulcan mind? I don't know - but I like him.
- Simon Pegg totally stole the show once he was introduced, for me. HE IS SO SO SHINY AND FUNNY AND CUUUUUTE. ILHIM. Are there still sandwiches in the future?
- This whole fucking cast FTMFW. SERIOUSLY.
- I'm getting tired and I'm sure I'll be talking about Star Trek for the next six weeks anyway, so I'm going to leave you with this little picspam and another declaration of how CHRIS PINE ROCKED THE FUCKING SHIT AS JAMES T. KIRK. That is all. :D
I...really wouldn't mind seeing the big ass bruises on Kirk's neck after that shit. Also - oddly enough, I don't actually ship Kirk/Spock. (Pine/Quinto HELLS YEAH) but...I dunno, I just don't feel it. I JUST HAVE A MAJOR THING FOR CHIRS PINE, OKAY? And maaaan he'd be pretty with all those bruises. Yes, I am disturbed, I'm looking into it.
