Disclaimer: This is fiction, based on the actors that portrayed the

characters in the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers.

 

There’s no  room for God in the middle of all this artillery.  This isn’t a place for angels watching over your shoulder, protecting you from harms way. Miracles don’t happen here.  The only faith you’re allowed is the faith you have in the man next to you.

 

Ron believed in God once, went to church, said his prayers.  Out here, in this foreign land, covered in the blood of evil men, the only thing Ron believes in is death.  He smiles around his cigarette and tosses it to the ground, stomping it out with his boot.

War depends upon it.
